Founder Bio

Rick Grant

Executive operator, systems leader, and co-author of The Everyday AI Playbook.

Rick Grant brings a career shaped by operations, community leadership, youth development, organizational execution, and responsible AI implementation. His work has consistently focused on helping people and institutions move from pressure and complexity into clearer systems, stronger routines, and better follow through.

As Chief Operating Officer at Neighborhood House Charter School, Rick leads cross-functional operations across finance, facilities, technology, nutrition, procurement, compliance, people systems, and execution. He stewards a $22 million operating and capital budget, has secured $750,000 in procurement savings, and has built dashboards and operating routines that help leaders see what is happening and act with greater clarity.

Rick's leadership path also includes service as Chief of Community Engagement at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, Executive Director of YOU Boston, Executive Director of Talent Search TRIO at Roxbury Community College, Founder and Lead Pastor of Rescued Church Boston, and direct youth-serving roles with Boys Town New England, the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, Boston Urban Youth Foundation, and the YMCA of Dorchester.

That range matters to Everyday AI Playbook because Rick understands how systems affect real people. He has led inside institutions, built community-facing programs, managed budgets, developed teams, supported families, and carried operational responsibility where follow through mattered. His approach to AI is practical and governed: start with the work, clarify the routine, protect people, and build tools that teams can actually sustain.
